Get ready to run, dance, and get covered in colour as St Margaret’s Colour Run returns for another unforgettable day at Taunton Racecourse on Saturday, 17 May! This year, they’re pulling out all the stops to celebrate their 45th anniversary, making it bigger, brighter, and better than ever!
Join them with hundreds of runners who will come together with an aim to raise £45,000 as they dash around a course filled with a rainbow of powdered paint and colourful foam. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just up for a fun day out with family and friends, this 4km challenge is for everyone. Put on your most dazzling outfit and be part of a colourful celebration complete with a medal at the end!
This year, they’re thrilled to welcome back the Bubble Toddle for its second year! Perfect for our littlest fundraisers, the Bubble Toddle invites children aged 18 months to 5 years to dash, skip, or toddle through a rush of bubbles. Every tiny participant will receive a special certificate and a prize to mark their achievement!
And that’s not all—their Family Fun Day Village is returning too! Packed with stalls, inflatables, games, and plenty of delicious food and drink, the village is free to enter and it’s the perfect place to keep the party going after the run. Bring the whole family and enjoy a day full of smiles, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Taking part in the Colour Run is about more than just having fun—it’s about supporting St Margaret’s Hospice and helping them continue to provide exceptional care to those who need it most. People like Rob, a former Civil Nuclear Constabulary policeman and passionate runner. After Rob’s devastating diagnosis with an incurable brain tumour, he and his partner, Alison, were supported every step of the way by St Margaret’s Hospice. This care helped them through the most difficult part of their lives and ensured they had time together to be a couple.
Now, Alison is calling on others to take part in the St Margaret’s Hospice Colour Run and raise vital funds for the hospice. “I’m not a runner, but Rob encouraged me to take part in a 10km which we did together. Now, I want to raise money for St Margaret’s. It keeps his memory alive.” Talking about the care they received, “The St Margaret’s team, they loved Rob, and they really got to know him,” she says. “No one should have to go through something like this, but many people do. I want to raise funds so more people can experience the care we did.” By fundraising, participants can help ensure that more families receive the same support and care that meant so much to Rob and Alison.
Sponsored by local businesses including, Avalon plastics, Amicus Law, Koller Engineering, Nuffield Hospital and Clarke Willmott, your support at the Colour Run makes a difference.
Tickets for the Colour Run are £20 for adults and £15 for children. Entry to the Bubble Toddle is just £5. The £45,000 the hospice team hopes to raise through your tickets and fundraising could pay for 45 people to receive specialist care on their In-Patient Unit for a day.
