Two fire engines attended reports of a domestic fire in Wellington, this evening (28th March 2025)
The fire had been caused by a pan on the hob which had been removed prior to fire service arrival.
Throughout the incident crews used:
- Two breathing apparatus
- Positive pressure ventilation fan
- Thermal image camera
Crews ventilated the property due to heavy smoke logging.
The cause is believed to be accidental. Crews had left the property by 10:20pm
